Welcome to the Gastroenterology & Hepatology unit of Qazi Hussain Ahmed Medical complex, Nowshera. It is the only full fledge unit of GI  diseases in District Nowshera, where our team of experienced and dedicated gastroenterologists, nurses, and support staff are providing outpatient /inpatient care for a range gastrointestinal issues, from acid reflux to complex conditions like inflammatory bowel disease and liver disorders with advance endoscopic services.

Our Gastroenterology Ward serves as a hub for expert diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care for patients with gastrointestinal disorders. Key functions of our ward include:

Our Gastroenterology Ward offers a full suite of endoscopic services which provides a wide range of endoscopic services which includes:

• Upper GI endoscopy+biopsy  

• Colonoscopy/sigmoidoscopy+biopsy 

• PEG tube insertion  

• Polypectomy 

• Variceal band ligation

• Fundal variceal histoacryl injection  

• Sclerotherapy

• Luminal (esophageal/colonic) stenting

• Foreign body removal

• Hemoclipping 

• Stricture dilatation
